Mission Accomplished !!! I tried wedging a small screwdriver in the pedal slot at the splined shaft ever so slightly. Wiggled and pried pedal a little at a time and eventually walked it's way off the spline without any damage. Cleaned the teeth of the pedal and shaft real well with a wire brush. Rotated the pedal forward 1 tooth and re-installed pedal with some anti-seize. Pedal now in a position where it doesn't hit the inside on my calf.

Appreciate "ALL" the Help Again as usual !

Little patience and a little wiggle works wonders

Yes, I like the position that the pedal is in now. Is there a way to tighten up the pedal at it's lower pivot ? It wants to swing out a little and not stay in .

Steve, I'm assuming we're talking about #5 in the above diagram ? If so, can that be changed out ?

Yes, the spring #5 in the above diagram can be changed to tighten up the pedal.

a shim behind the spring might work to tighten it up.

Yes the Bolt # 7 was removed completely to remove the Pedal prior, so I don't see how that would affect it ? Is the spring #5 replaceable and how is removable if it is ?

Also, a shim behind the spring ? Are you saying that would put more tension in the spring ? Just examining the shaft of the pedal where it pivots , it appears maybe a thicker washer #8 und the circlip #9 would tighten that pivot point ?

There is a spring and ball bearing that rides in the groove on the lever. It should come out easily.

I'll pull the lever back off and take a closer look at i, didn't notice it before ? When you say it rides in the groove, does that mean inside the splines of the lever which presses onto the splined shaft ?

If you look closley you'll see a hole and small ramp for the bearing to sit in. You'll take off the snap ring and washer then turn the lever out, then slide it up. Have a rag around it or it will go SPORINGGG.
