.....Thats weird someone would go through all the trouble of swapping over all the 1976 ltd 900 parts.........accident maby? Either way nice score man.
Definitely looks like the PO was going for the '76 Ltd look, just with different parts. Brake disks and calibers, rear master cylinder are from later models. Seat, instrument panel, wheels, color (sort of), and side emblems do look like they're from a '76 model.
I think she'll look good once she's cleaned up. I'm obviously partial to the Ltd look

If its a 74, it would be a Z1A. You can go to, www.zedder.com/Info/74%20Z1-A%20900.htm This should get ya going in the right direction. I was looking at zedder.com, and it is for sure a 74 z1 900. Thats weird someone would go through all the trouble of swapping over all the 1976 ltd 900 parts.........accident maby? Either way nice score man.
a lot can happen to these old bikes in 30 plus years....luckily this one survived......

Well I,ve gotta say.....please keep politics out of this forum. We're here to discuss bikes.
I'm sorry that you have a problem with people discussing politics in a thread titled "strong republician's first bike". And infact that this just happens to be a thread about MY introduction, not just strictly about bikes.

you d be hard pressed to find a forum for cars or bikes where they dont limit or downright ban religious or political posts.....things just get way out of hand too quickly and become a huge headache for moderators....stick to your kz......just a little help....

Couldn't agree more. I'm a republican too put I don't bring it up on here. If I wanna talk politics I'll find a political forum. That way I can discuss policies with people who are possibly educated and at least passionate about politics. If I bring them up here I'll get one of 3 reactions, a) the person will get pissed and write something mean back making us both look like an ass b) be totally annoyed by it and won't write anything but remember I'm an imbecile for talking politics in a motorcycle forum, or c) agree with me but know better then to write something that will get them in trouble with people who are very wise in the world of old zeds.
You haven't done anything wrong and just like everyone else here I welcome you and would like to say you have a great bike, I hope you get all the things done to it that you want too.
