Do you have the correct Kawasaki shop manual for your bike?

Mornin' zollie (for me anyway)...checked the Kawasaki Recognition Manual (part # 99930-1002-01) and you are the proud owner of a 1981 Z750L1. North America didn't see the L series until 1983 (and then only for one year). Despite your frame VIN being an 'E' (the 6th letter ID's the frame model) series, South Africa never got the E model as an export in 1981...they were entirely shipped to North America. However, both the E and L models shared the frame VIN series.
Do you have the correct Kawasaki shop manual for your bike?
Firstly thanks for all the info!! Helps a lot.
As for the shop manual - I have no idea if I have the correct one - it starts with KZ750 four and lists the Models KZ750-E1 and KZ750-H1 ; the thing is it already has replacement EVERYTHING accept the motor and frame. So as long those things are the same then I'm happy – e.g. ordering gaskets from overseas as it is nonexistent over here.. O, another thing, last night I noticed that on the Airbox it also says KZ750Exxxx .. Will try and figure it out from my side too.
Cheez the deeper I dig...the deeper I dig.. hehe..
Thanks again, will try and make a bit more sense from all of this.
Ps. I googled the Z750L and it seems to be more of a fit; eg. Side covers with the Z750 on, instead KZ750 ...

Than again on the specs it says the Z750L is Air cooled?...
I have oil cooler?
Even if it has an oil cooler, it is still considered air-cooled. Here is a downloadable manual for your bike, if you don't already have it...beware, it is a giant file.

I have fuel injected '79 z650 that I brought with from SA.
Most of the gaskets are the same with the 650 and 750 kawas except for the head and base gaskets ( which are bigger for the 750. I run a 750 barrel on my 650 with an 810 wiseco kit. Wheels on your bike are off of an '83 gpz750. It seems like she is quite a bitsa
How come you are on the net in the middle of they day hey.......Skellem :woohoo:

Thanks busy download, just a note, it says GPZ manual? Assume the motor/parts are the same?
Do you perhaps know if these gaskets and primary chain will fit my Kawa? As I'm now truly confused..

it is just that everywhere on the bike KZ is layed out, Frame, Engine no., Even on the airbox?.. Maybe I should just take a whole bunch of foto's and post it over the whole inet.. hehe.. O and for being on net in middle of the day, let's just say ; being in IT has its perks
