Secondly, the plugs require a gasket maker sealant. The shop mechanic advised going with the "Ultra Black" RTV sealant, it is designed for 500 degrees (intermittently) and maximum oil resistance. However, next to it I found the "Ultra Copper" which is not as good in oil resistance as the black, but is designed for the higher 700 degrees heat. I currently purchased the black, but am having doubts with the temperature.

I have two tanks. One from my Z! and the other from a KZ 900. Both are 3.7 gallons. I wish they were 4.7 The Z1 has cut outs to adjust the 28's. The KZ 900 doesn't.

My 76 900 LTD & 80 LTD both have 3.7 Gal fuel tanks, & I know they are smaller than the Z1 tanks

I'm working on my KZ 900 tank. For SHT's and grins, I'll take a gallon jug, fill it up with water and see how much it does hold.
