Hey from Montreal !
What kind of bars do you want to put on ? I have an extra set of New black EMgo drag bars lying around.
Z1 had screwed up and sent me the black ones and I ordered chrome.

I'm going with the stock style bars for this girl as I like the position they put me at, I've never really cared for drag bars even when I had a cafe style bike back in the mid '80s

Welcome Bruce.
An easy way to hard tail the rear end is to just remove the shocks and install "struts".
Just lengths of metal, or tubing, that bolt in place of the shocks.
If you don't end up liking the ride, easy to put shocks back on.

I'll just do the hard tail because I prefer that rather than having extra parts that can only complicate matters.

What a day, my wife and I are getting ready to move so I was out in the garage sorting my tools and the guy that sold me the bike popped in and asked me if I needed a helmet. of course I do, so he gave me a pair of HJC CL10 helmets that he bought when he got the bike, but he very rarely even rode so I now have my bike and a choice of colours for a helmet. By the way they fit perfectly

Sounds like you are on a karmic roll my friend. Throw a few bucks into the lottery whenever you see this type of thing.

Been a while since I was on this thread and just figured it was about time for an update... I got an aftermarket frame (rigid) made for an Evo engine and am in the midst of modifying it to accept the KZ engine. A couple things I am dealing with are fabbing up new motor mounts and running wiring through the frame along with making the stock KZ front end work on it. I'll be putting some pictures together for the thread shortly.

I sold the KZ yesterday to someone that plans on building it into a streetfighter style bike. Good bye KZ. Now I can concentrate on my Buells.
