Will try to remember the time to meet at the barn JR, memory is not what it used to be. May ride depending on weather and whether my nephew needs company in the truck which I may need to drag home parts I don't have time to utilize!

I'll keep an eye out for you David as you are one of the few KZR members I have actually met. I know what you mean about parts Ha Ha  I'm just bringing a small backpack  I know a few non KZ people who will be there and am just telling all "If I dont see ya then big barn at 12;30". Might move from the barn to the bar later :)
I'll also be looking up for basketball players - Casey H :)

So I rode on over to Paris, Ontario this morning for the CVMG swap meet and the first Kawasaki I see in the parking lot was the one 2 posts above belongong to Drooz. Got to chat with him for a few minutes and then waited until the crowd of admirers around his awesome 750 thinned out and i could take a photo,

Met Kawboy74 and a couple of buddies in the carpark - great talking to all but although I hung around the big shed with the wings for a half hour around 12.30 and had my jacket and KZR patch on I didn't see any other KZR members. Apologies I missed anyone and If I did then perhaps next year.

Great pictures John!
Thanks for sharing.
B)

My plans changed this weekend, as a good friend died last week.
Those in Southern Ontario may know him, Robbie Meiklejohn, owner of Rocket Motorcycle and a racing legend.
I would ride with him often on Thursdays and Sundays.
We'd hang out at the meets, and have a good time.
We rode to his funeral yesterday.
RIP Robbie.

It was a great day for a ride, and send off.
Weather was perfect, the location of the Cemetery was at the end of a long road with tree cover both sides.
Nice arch way and gates at the entrance, and beautiful grounds with big trees.
Apparently Robbie would play in this Cemetery as a little boy.

Meeting spot first thing in the morning:

Glad that you made it to the funeral Rob. I didn't know you and Robbie were friends. :(

I knew him back in the early to mid 80's. His shop, Rocket Motorcycle, did a fair bit of work on my kz1000 back before it came off the road for 22 years. It's sad that he passed away but I'm glad he had so many friends there to send him off. :)

Good to see a few of the boys at Paris! JR and Kawboy to name 2! ;)

It was a pretty good turn out with the great weather on Saturday. B)
