They cure the symptoms that are a result of the extra air flow and negate the need for complicated adjustments to the pilot and needle that don't really work anyway .
They aren't a magic cure for worn out or badly set up carbs but they are needed regardless of anything else once the airbox is removed.
Whether the main is correct now I don't know but if it is then you would leave it as is .

I understand, if you jetting is spot on, don’t do anything with the jets when installing the air jets, and if they was some of they will still be some off (more testing/tuning can be done).

What about the air mixture screw, can just keep it as is, if I’m happy?

Yes! Keep the air mix etc as is.
The air screw is for the pilot mix and the air jets correct the mixture coming off idle and on to the needle jet.
If you are still unsure as to their effectiveness i'm sure other buyers/users who have posted the results in replies to this thread will give you a honest opinion as to whether they perform as stated.

Please purchase these from Zed1015. It will offset his time and experience that he puts into this forum to help us all keep our vintage machines running correctly.

They work, I installed a set on 28mm with the accelerator pump system. They were completely rebuilt so a good base line to test them on. The correctors made off idle acceleration crisper, and very smooth linear power from idle to the mains.

Hello everyone. I just got a set of these Air Corrector Jets for my KZ900 from Rob at zed1015 yesterday (June 11) and installed them in about an hour and a half. I have K&N pods with a Delkevic 4-1 pipe on it and was experiencing the whole array of issues...spitting, bucking, poor transition to mid range. These jets cleaned everything up and it now runs like it should. Installation was simple and the price was very fair. I was actually getting pretty frustrated with the bike because I could not get it right, but now it runs great and I would not hesitate to take it on a long journey. Just for reference, my bike has 20,000 miles and has the stock bore and carbs (VM26). I’m running the stock 17.5 pilots and 117.5 mains (1 size up on the KZ900). I have to say these air corrector jets are terrific and they made a world of difference on my bike. Thanks to zed1015 for the parts and information.

I agree with your statement. The Air Correction Jet kit is money "well spent" / Best Bang for the Buck product....

You should see better MGP with these jets and the needles etc in the stock setting compared to running the carbs with larger pilots and needles lifted as many have done to try and minimise the off idle stumble etc and because of the nature of their function you may also be able to come down a size on the main too compared to the aforementioned set up.
