Yeah, I also can give these a thumbs up! The bike I used them on was a chalenging combination to tune...a 710 kitted 650 with cams and I got the bike with no carbs or air box and all I had were some vm28ss left over from kz1000 project. Before installing the air correctprs I had the bike tuned probably as good as was possible but no matter what I tried I could not get rid of a significant flat spot right at throttle crack. This made the bike very not fun to ride at low, stuck in traffic speeds. Adding to the difficulty were unidentifiable needles that must be from some type of dynojet kit and the accel pump was disabled.
After installing the air correctors, part throttle operation was immediately great. I just had to jet it back from the former configuration closer to stock. All that is left to do is get the main jets right. The most amazing thing is how easy and straightforward jetting changes have become. No guesswork. Changes yield the results expected so if you go the wrong away, you know it. Not only have the air correctors improved the tune of my 650, they have enabled me to learn so much more about carb tuning.

Didn’t know where else to post this so here it is.

Zed1015, the choke plungers arrived yesterday. Thank you for the diligence in such nice rebuild and in the packaging. They look great, and arrived in perfect condition.

Everything from Zed it top quality and function as depicted please do not hesitate to engage with him for the items he offers, you won’t be disappointed.

Zed1015 is just one example of the members on this forum that really live and breathe all things Kz. Like I have said before they don’t want to help you get your vintage bike just running. They want to help you get you machine running correctly! There a big difference in the two.

Some important advise for anyone sending their plungers from overseas to be re-seated.

Please be sure to send them marked as a gift and declare either zero or a low value.

Anything over £15 attracts vat etc which has to be paid before the package is released and will have to be added to the cost..

I don't have the same issue when sending them back out.

They just go as a large tracked and signed letter ( padded jiffy ) and have always got straight to the destination without any
charges.

They should be sent to me bare with the springs etc removed.

I recommend they are taped to a piece of card to secure them on their journey.
Thanks.
Rob.

Guilty as charged. I’ll do better next time.

A bit of an update on the plunger servicing.
It appears that pretty much all Mikuni and most Keihin plungers use the same 8mm diameter head.
This mean that the re-seating process ( along with the problem of leaking seats) isn't confined to just the VM carbs used on the Z's and GS fours but almost any other single, twin, triple or four etc out there that runs 8mm plungers that are no longer available new.
Price remains at £12.50 per plunger + return post tracked and signed worldwide.

Hi, Gordone.
YES! Those are the correct size for the air jets.

Properly stupid question :)

When you make the threads can I just vaackum clean the metal pieces? Or must I take out all jets and high pressure air clean the carbs....

If you are careful you can cut the threads without getting any swarf in the air bleed.
I just cut the threads with the carb mouths facing downwards slightly so that the chips fall out.
If you think any swarf has entered the air bleed you can blow compressed air up the main jet to clear it.

I understand the tap shall be 8mm deep, but that is because you don’t need deeper?

If you go some deeper and the jet is not flushing the surface is that a problem?
