OH yea.thats looking good.I would just leave forks the natural color. if anything just paint the lower section where the calipers mount.and maybe the tripples?

I will leave them silver, especially if the anodizing is in good shape, it will contrast with the rest of the bike. The beautiful and hard work is slowly showing its results. Bravo !

she's looking good Josh.
Tough call on the fork color. i often think the gold forks look out of place but the silver should look right at home.
the black may look sweet depending on the rest of the theme, wheels ?
i dont know if this will help because of my red frame but here is a pic. i am going to go with a black frame next.

Thanks guys. The forks will stay silver since the anodizing is in really good shape. That's one less step. The wheels will look like the back wheel in my mock-up photograph. Metallic gray centers with polished rims. I want them to look like an old American Racing Torque Thrust D wheel.

Notice the back wheel:

A Torque Thrust D for those who aren't familiar. If you are not familiar you will receive 20 lashings.

Yeah, Plum, if I ever get going on my 67 mustang, it will roll on TTD's. I don't see how you could do better on a muscle car. I already had a 67 ranchero with Super Sharks, so that's my other favorite wheel. I need to scan in a pic of that old car. I got rid of that one before I ever had a digicam.

I got my rear shock all rebuilt using the gold valve kit, and the new spring from Race Tech. I'll post the writeup soon. I got all the pictures, but it will take me a while to get it all put together. I also actually got the swingarm installed in the frame with the bushings in place. I was going to have the shock and linkage in until I decided to give the linkage bearings a bath so that they can go in with fresh grease. This is actually quite an important step. I'll reveal why when I do the shock rebuild thread.

Here's the assembled shock:
