I tend to agree with you mark. I just got mama a sewing machine, and I may take a shot at making a stepped seat in the future. I will use the flat one to start out, but I want to make a custom seat as well. That stuff can wait until this thing is making some noise.

I want to be able to ride it when it starts to cool down here, which isn't too far away now.

A little progress tonight.

As you can see, I got the rear suspension all buttoned up. I have been soaking all of the roller bearings in the linkage. After I pulled them out of the parts washer, I blew them out and installed everything with fresh grease and some blue loctite on the fasteners to make sure nothing vibrates out on me.

I also got down to painting a lot of little bits that I have had laying around.

With these parts painted, I should be good to go on installing the motor tomorrow. :woohoo:

BTW benhurmx, those headlight ears belong to you.

No doubt! That motor has been setting in a corner of my garage for something like 2 1/2 years. I had my bike so completely dismantled that my family would ask if I got rid of it when they came to visit. I really wish that my early pictures could convey just how terrible the condition of this motorcycle was when I started.

everyone i know ,thinks my bike is always broken, because i take the bike apart every year to "fix" it.
They just dont get that i could enjoy it.

Nice job ! It was surely worth the waiting. Glad to see you're almost there. You must be anxious now to see her running!
