you know Adam i hold you personally responsible for steering young Joesph into thinking these mods are the key to the KZ kingdom...poor boy sees you and the texan whippin up trouble and thinks it's cool....has never even ridden a KZ and already knows that a bigger back tire and swingarm are the hot ticket......

I hope your happy......

someone could put an eye out!

I TRIED to talk the man out of it....I really did. Didn't I Joe? He's got a mind of his own though, and is determined to build what he wants the first time. The only issue I see is that since this is his first bike, he doesn't know what he likes yet...just what is asthetically pleasing to him. I can't fault Joe for that, it's like drooling over a nicely mantained milf that's had a few...ahhh, tastefull additions made

For the record, I tried to talk him out of it in a series of PMs. I suggested that he went with the GS1100 swingarm and twin shocks to preserve his PC job. But as he says, he's buying so it's his party.

Hell, I told the man over the phone "don't do it, clean her up, put it together and get some seat time" Damnit Joe, do as I say, not as I do!!

Not exactly mind blowing progress, but thats how you eat an elephant: one little bite at a time :)

Hi there!

Great post. I got a swing arm of a 2002 speed triple and found you post. Great info and great detail. I would just like to ask how you determined the hight of the shock mounting so that the rear dont hang or be to high?

Thanks

Leon... was this seperated, from another post by porchev914? I was looking forward to seeing a completed ride... after 19 pages of reading!

Yea, he's not been here since early 13'... wonder what the bike looks like today?

OK, Thanks Leon. Guess this is an example of some of what's seen on CL, as far as the "I lost interest aspect", eh?
