Thanks, I am very happy with how the bike looks and handles.
I need advice on something else.
I have a hose from my breather cap to a small bottle.
It keeps filling up (and overflowing ) with this foamy oil.

I know I need a larger bottle or something but what is that stuff?
With a liquid cooled engine it probably is cooling water in the oil but this is a air cooled engine.
Any ideas?

Eric

Water an oil=milk low pro caps are good for that on the 78s It is to vent the crank case and vent moisture. Check the oil level It appears to high and that is the only way out besides bad on gaskets. might consider oil change.

Oil level is OK,
But an oil change and a larger bottle is in the planning for this week.

Hi Eric, Beautiful bike that I have been following. The issue you have with the funky looking stuff is one I encountered a little while ago and here is a ink to my post about it kzrider.com/forum/2-engine/605315-bad-oil
In essence it is something called mayonnaise and it occurs when the engine and oil are not warmed up enough on a run so water condenses in the oil, creates this sludgey substance and then deposits it on thin metal surfaces that cool down the fastest. With me it was on the clutch cover, yours is maybe the really thin aluminium bottle. It was suggested that I run the bike for at least 20/30 miles to properly get everything up to operating temperature.....so difficult to do (ha ha ha)
It may be that even if you use a bigger bottle the problem may still happen....we just have to run our bikes for longer runs. I did a hard 40 mile run and it got rid of the stuff for now. HTH

Thanks Bluezbike,
I placed a bigger bottle and now it does not overflow.
I am planning to do a warm up and than an oil change.
That should clear most of the mayonnaise.
Slowly increasing the distance for my runs.
Don't want it to brake down to far from home

Small update.
Removed the low "good looking" breather cap and replaced it with the stock high one.
Problem with overflowing solved.

Put the Dyna S on the right position, which means that I had put it on 4 valves where I thought it was 4 stroke
So now on 2 valves and slight improvement.
Cheap chain tensioner disintegrated, seems that with normal chain tension I don't need an extra tensioner.

Also bought a pair of new "shoes" Metzeler Sportec 3M.

To many choices and no idea what to buy so I bought the ones which looked good
(And, if they are good enough for Sanctuary to put hem on there bikes it would be good enough for mine)

Finally picture of Bike in workshop of a friend of mine.
Working on a chain guard.

After a rather long break starting up again.
Not on the bike yet but on the mancave
Painted everything with a fresh coat of white, put some new lights on the ceiling and to finish it off a new floor.

Have to do some small things before starting on the bike again.
Some Bike and car posters on the wall and buy some new tools.

Ordered an oil cooler but turned out to large so waiting for a smaller one.
Also need an oil pickup for it from Z1 next month.
I don't think I need an oil cooler but it looks nice B) .

Have to take apart the rear brake because it is not working good enough.
And looking for a new/better steering damper. Not sure if this one is working and don't want to find out during a high speed bump :pinch:

Have some strange oil/fuel stuff hanging on my carbs.
No idea with it is or where it comes from.
Will take a picture tonight, hope some of you can give me a clue.
