The bike looks great.
Is anyone else finding the pics look well lit while loading, and then go dark, after completely loaded, or is it just at my end?:S

I just took this out in the sunlight Mark. How does this pic look on your screen?
The pic looks better, but there is definitely something going on at my end. it starts out loading very bright, then goes dark??
Thanks for trying.

The custom outboard bearing support will definately push it over the edge! Did you get my payment Ben?
If this build turns out half as good as the veterans bikes here, I'll be happy!

No worries mate, just wanted to make sure the money went to the right place! Today I'll be working on the rear motor mounts. Not very exciting, but as the saying goes, the devil is in the details B)

So in my last post I stated I would be working on my upper rear motor mount. Now, I got half of one made before I Effed it up. If this is the worst technical error I make during this build I'll count myself blessed by the KZ gods. The bottom line is I discovered that the top rear motor mount bushings in the frame no longer align with each other. They both angle down now. I suppose it might have had something to do with stretching the frame around that SSSA. Long story short, I tried to cheat it and wound up junking an 80% complete motor mount by cross threading one side. This is the misalignment I speak of. Can you see it?

So, rather than attempt to fix the existing bushing, I'm going to replace them. I mean hey, I'm replacing just about everything else anyway, whats a couple more bushings. So, I picked up some 1" solid round and got to cutting on some new motor mount frame bushings :silly: Just like before, the raw on the left, the completed on the right

Thank you Ben, that means alot comming from someone of your abilities. I'm looking forward to the bearing support. I can't use it for a while, but I'm looking forward to getting it non the less! B)

Oh yea....push frame apart and every formerly parallel mount point just went out of wack:S

As long as you're at it, you may as well address the 2 middle motor mounts. They're going to need spacers made up as well.

If you get the motor in position before you do the swingarm finalization, it may prove to be helpful.

Keep plugging away! I'm eager to see this bike completed.

It sounds like u have it figured out.
I just had a thought.
What if u took irishwills cross motor mount, welded a plate on each end , then drilled and bolted the plate in place. I’d bolt it to the 2 of the frames motor mount holes, just like the stock mount does.
This would be a lot simpler.

Thank you Larry, it makes me feel better knowing professionals are keeping an eye on me ;) I actually had the engine bolted in the frame during the widening specifically to ensure the front and bottom mounts did not stray. Also all widening took place aft of the center mounts. I did get some 3/8 in aluminum plate for odds and ends. I'm workin on it Larry, keep the motivation comming! B)
